A local agent exposes defined capabilities through the Model Context Protocol. The hardware stays yours, under your administration.
FrameBridge explores a secure connection between your own Linux computers and your personal ChatGPT experience—through MCP, clear permissions, and owner-controlled authorization.

FrameBridge is designed for people who want to interact with their own Linux systems from ChatGPT without giving a conversation unrestricted control of the machine.
A local agent exposes defined capabilities through the Model Context Protocol. The hardware stays yours, under your administration.
Use the ChatGPT experience on a phone or desktop. No separate FrameBridge mobile application is required by the proposed design.
Identity, read access and privileged operations are distinct permissions. Sensitive actions require additional, specific human authorization.
The workflow below is a product direction, not a claim that every security and onboarding feature is production-ready today.
A local package prepares FrameBridge on a computer owned and administered by the user.
The user explicitly approves a custom MCP connection to their own FrameBridge endpoint.
The planned account-binding workflow would use verifiable identity, with local confirmation when a device is first linked.
Read-only capabilities are separated from sensitive operations, which must pass an additional approval boundary.
We distinguish verified internal laboratory results from features that are still under development.
Internal tests connected ChatGPT to a Debian Linux node through a private MCP tunnel and completed four read-only tool calls.
Signed identity checks, authorization boundaries and local approval have been explored in isolated tests. A real Sign in with ChatGPT integration is not yet enabled.
There is no public release or general-purpose privileged access. Production enrollment, secure recovery and deployment certification remain pending.
Connecting a tool is not enough to prove who owns a device. Signing in is not enough to approve an arbitrary system command. FrameBridge is being designed to preserve those distinctions with verifiable identity, explicit permissions, and reviewable actions.
